Hello, and thanks for your interest. My work centers on writing and producing films, multi-media theatrical productions and large-scale museum installations.
I work with major institutions, corporations, and agencies in a wide range of writing, creative and special assignment projects, and have long term relationships with Mark Edwards & Company and Donna Lawrence Productions on the high end projects those two firms create in the university and museum sectors.
It’s work that involves big ideas, and the power of stories.Often it’s about audiences having a shared experience in a dark room, connecting with what’s unfolding on the screen or stage, liberated from clickers, remote controls
or other distractions.
On the set of Yale Tomorrow
with student storytellers
It’s work that strives to move people, and excite them…the stage manager of Freedom Rising has said, “you can hear a pin drop, in a room full of 5th graders” and the storyteller for one of the University of Michigan performances describes “never quite sensing that response from an audience before – the show got under their skin, giving off so much spirit and warmth.”
Given the standing of the clients, the writing has to be thematically compelling and intellectually robust;
free of jargon and cliché. These are tremendously exciting projects to be part of, and I get to help share
the story and pass the word of folks who are tackling the issues and engaging in pursuits that renew
and advance the human adventure.
So I’m very fortunate, very grateful – and very interested in the potential assignments ahead. A range of the work is synopsized on the Projects page.
Thanks for your time,
